Project Overview

Beginning with Howdy Doody and the Ed Sullivan Show to gripping dramas such as Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, television shows have become an integral part of modern-day existence. What draws us to the couch for an hour or two a night. What makes theses television shows timeless and iconic? Quite simply, what are the ingredients for a successful tv program? To answer the purposed question, this analysis will use three techniques: one, web scrapping to acquire the data; two, descriptive statistics to understand what factors influence the popularity of movies; and three, sentiment analysis to understand people's emotional connections to the shows they watch.

Gener's Effect:

The graph to the left reveals how gener affects a Tv show's rating while the graph to the right reveals which geners receive the most aculades.

Sentiment Analysis of Tv Reviews:

The graph below shows how negative words tend to be associated with good Tv. These negative sentiments could reveal people's inclinations towards the dramatic.
